Senior Solutions Engineer

About the role

This role owns the technical thread from the first discovery call through to a customer operating in production. Working inside the Commercial Organization, you will partner with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering to bridge pre‑sales solutioning and post‑signature delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Run technical and process discovery with cross‑functional stakeholders across supply chain, quality, logistics, and IT to uncover current‑state workflows, data sources, systems, and constraints.
• Deliver tailored product demonstrations mapped to each customer's real lanes, products, and release processes, handling technical objections live.
• Own the initial solution design, defining applicable modules, required data, integration scope, and phasing.
• Translate solution designs into scoped statements of work and implementation plans, sizing effort honestly and surfacing long‑lead items.
• Partner with Sales and commercial leadership on proposals and order forms, ensuring technical deliverability.
• Lead solution workshops and guide configuration of lane qualification, command center, and automated product release modules through go‑live.
• Coordinate with Product, Data, and Engineering to sequence deliverables, manage handoffs, and feed real customer patterns back into the roadmap.
• Build reusable assets such as reference solution designs, discovery question banks, scoping templates, and integration patterns.

Required profile

• 5+ years as a Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Technical Account Manager delivering enterprise software implementations.
• Proven ability to run technical discovery with cross‑functional stakeholders and translate requirements into end‑to‑end solution designs.
• Experience scoping and sequencing implementation plans, sizing effort, and identifying dependencies and long‑lead items.
• Domain experience in supply chain, cold chain, logistics, or quality management systems.
• Hands‑on experience configuring enterprise software modules such as product release management, qualification systems, or control tower platforms.

What we offer

• Base salary: $140,000 to $180,000 USD annually.
• On‑site work in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
