Senior Data Analyst - Assurance and Advisory Management

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring a Senior Data Analyst for its Assurance and Advisory Management (AMP) team. The analyst supports ad-hoc data requests and builds and maintains analytics tools for project work across Merchandising, Supply Chain, Store Operations, Finance and IT. The role involves working with colleagues across functions to understand their needs and delivering training on the department's BI and analytics tools.

Key responsibilities

• Support AMP (Internal Audit) staff with ad-hoc data requests across Operations, Merchandising, Finance, Supply Chain and IT, providing solutions that improve efficiency and results.
• Develop and maintain data mining and reporting capabilities for the department.
• Capture and build queries and reports that help AMP staff analyze data more efficiently and accurately.
• Assist with developing and delivering data analytics training for the department.
• Derive meaning from data analytics and present it in summarized format.

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field related to the job; no additional education required.
• 4 years of work experience preferred.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, data mining and analysis, query and database development, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, project management, time management and organization skills.

Required skills

• Tableau / Tableau Server and SQL are required.
• SQL Server (SSIS, SSRS), Access and Excel are required.
• ACL, Teradata, DB2, BTEQ, SAP and SharePoint are a plus.
