Senior Controls Engineer - TPM

About the role

Bosch Group is looking for a Senior Controls Engineer with deep expertise in industrial automation and CoDeSys PLC programming. The role involves designing, developing, implementing, and commissioning complex control systems that drive manufacturing efficiency and product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the conceptual design and architecture of control systems, selecting hardware such as PLCs, HMIs, drives, sensors, and actuators.
• Create detailed electrical schematics, I/O lists, and wiring diagrams in partnership with electrical engineers.
• Develop and program PLC logic using CoDeSys (IEC 61131‑3) across ST, FBD, LD, and SFC languages.
• Build reusable CoDeSys libraries, function blocks, and structured‑text routines for scalable production use.
• Integrate fieldbus protocols (EtherCAT, PROFINET, Modbus TCP/IP, CANopen) and develop HMI/SCADA visualizations.
• Lead on‑site commissioning, testing, tuning, and troubleshooting to meet production targets and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to resolve integration challenges.
• Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including functional specifications and test plans.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in industrial automation and control system design.
• Proven ability to lead technical projects and mentor junior engineers.
• Strong problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.

Required skills

• CoDeSys programming (IEC 61131‑3)
• PLC programming in Structured Text, Function Block Diagram, Ladder Diagram, Sequential Function Chart
• Fieldbus protocols: EtherCAT, PROFINET, Modbus TCP/IP, CANopen
• HMI/SCADA development and visualization
