Electrical Engineer

About the role

Bosch Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its Charleston facility. The role focuses on the design, maintenance, and improvement of building and utility electrical systems, ensuring reliable power for production and supporting projects across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage building and utility electrical systems.
• Conduct annual thermal imaging inspections of electrical equipment.
• Maintain emergency power systems, including generators and automatic transfer switches.
• Perform power distribution maintenance such as transformer DGA, substation testing, and lubrication per NFPA 69 and FM Global guidelines.
• Plan utilities for new equipment and manage electrical spares inventory.
• Update breaker panel schedules and support value‑stream mapping for the power distribution network.
• Lead facility construction and maintenance projects, coordinating contractors and ensuring compliance with Bosch, OSHA, NFPA, and ICC standards.
• Develop RFQs, procure equipment, and schedule project phasing, outages, and disruptions.

Required profile

• Experience with electrical system design and maintenance in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of NFPA, FM Global, OSHA, and ICC safety standards.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate contractors, and ensure quality, cost, and schedule targets.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a safety‑first mindset.
