Senior Construction Risk Engineering Consultant

About the role

Zurich is seeking a Senior Construction Risk Engineering Consultant for its Casualty Lines of Business in the Southern region. This remote position is based in the Central Georgia area with a preference for the Atlanta metro region and involves travel across Georgia and neighboring states.

Key responsibilities

• Adapt Zurich’s innovative risk solutions to the construction industry to minimize customer losses and improve sustainability and business resiliency.
• Leverage Zurich’s risk engineering tools to manage risk for customers with construction insurance products such as Workers Compensation, General Liability and Auto Liability.
• Deliver consultative services, identify exposures, and provide risk mitigation recommendations, including loss investigations and root‑cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers and business partners, and market fee‑based services that support risk mitigation.
• Provide technical advice on QA/QC plans, safety plans, construction defect investigations, building envelope reviews and moisture mitigation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of experience in construction risk engineering, safety/risk management, or field operations (or high school diploma with 8+ years of experience).
• Experience working in both regulated and non‑regulated fleet environments and data‑center construction.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and consulting skills, with ability to work independently and in teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• High computer literacy on iOS platforms.
• Technical writing ability to create customer and internal work products.
