Senior Civil Engineer, PE

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer with a Virginia PE license to lead site and civil engineering projects from concept through construction in Harrisonburg, VA. The role involves technical design, plan preparation, and coordination with agencies, contractors, and owners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop site plan designs from concept to approved final plans, including hydrologic and hydraulic stormwater calculations.
• Prepare engineering reports, bid documents, and cost estimates; conduct full plan quality control.
• Maintain communication with reviewing agencies, contractors, owners, and design subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentor junior engineers and assist in proposal creation and design cost estimating.

Required profile

• 8+ years of site/civil land development design experience.
• Virginia PE license and valid driver’s license.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and verbal communication skills.
