About the role
Southeastern Louisiana University's Department of Physical Plant Services seeks an HVAC Refrigeration Master Mechanic to lead installation, repair, and maintenance of campus HVAC and refrigeration systems. The role requires independent judgment and supervision of multiple mechanics.
Key responsibilities
- Perform installation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on heating, ventilation, air‑conditioning, and refrigeration equipment across the campus.
- Lead and coordinate a team of HVAC Refrigeration Mechanics, ensuring work quality and safety compliance.
Required profile
- Minimum three years of experience or training in HVAC installation or maintenance.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain EPA Section 608 Type IV Universal Certification within 30 days.
Required skills
- Hands‑on expertise with HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- EPA refrigerant recycling and recovery certification (Section 608).
