Senior Civil CAD Designer

About the role

DRMP is seeking an experienced Senior Civil CAD Designer to support land development and site design projects. In this role, you will work closely with engineers and project managers to transform design concepts into accurate, coordinated construction documents.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare civil construction plans for commercial, residential, institutional, municipal, and infrastructure projects.
• Develop site layouts, grading plans, utility plans, stormwater and drainage designs, erosion‑control plans, and construction details.
• Create surfaces, alignments, profiles, pipe networks, corridors, and plan‑production sheets using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Coordinate design information with engineers, surveyors, landscape architects, utility providers, and other project disciplines.
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, constructability, and compliance with project standards.
• Mentor junior designers and provide guidance on Civil 3D workflows and plan production.

Required profile

• Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in civil engineering technology, drafting, or a related field.
• At least eight years of civil CAD design experience, with significant experience in land development or site design.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, erosion control, and site‑plan production.
• Ability to interpret surveys, engineering calculations, design criteria, and agency requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to organize work across several projects.
