Senior Analytics Engineer - Retailer Growth

About the role

Faire, a technology wholesale platform connecting independent retailers worldwide, is looking for a technical leader in its team to work closely with Data Scientists, Product Analysts and Software Engineers. The role supports product launches and roadmaps by designing and building data capabilities that drive insights, and uses AI to streamline data pipeline development, improve data consumption workflows and automate routine analytical tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross-team and multi-phase projects from design through implementation, collaborating with cross-functional partners.
• Lead the technical execution of scalable data models and pipelines, defining the architecture and feature requirements.
• Build data pipelines with rigorous data quality, validation, testing and observability.
• Embed AI into daily workflows to redefine how data systems are built, maintained and scaled.
• Optimize project management and system reliability, ensure security standards and data quality standards are met, and embrace emerging technologies.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in analytics and data engineering roles focused on data modeling, large-scale data processing and tool development for analytics or data science use cases.
• Demonstrated communication and leadership, with a history of initiating and steering projects across multiple stakeholders.
• Production-level Python development experience.
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics or a related technical field.

Required skills

• Strong SQL, including well-architected data models and optimized query performance.
• Data warehousing, ETL, big data technologies and analytics platforms.
• Airflow, Docker, DBT or similar analytics workflow tools.

What we offer

• Pay range of $196,000 to $269,500 per year in California, plus eligibility for equity and benefits.
• Hybrid model: 3 days in the office per week, with remote work up to 4 weeks per year.
