Staff Product Manager, Storage & Edge Data

About the role

Fastly is looking for a Staff Product Manager to own its Storage and Edge Data product lines, covering Fastly Object Storage and its suite of edge data products (KV Store, Config Store and Secret Store). The role drives customer requirements, builds product roadmaps and delivers capabilities that let customers store, manage and access data close to their end users. It has a significant impact on Fastly's strategic initiatives, customer satisfaction and revenue goals.

Key responsibilities

• Define the strategy and roadmap for Fastly Object Storage and the edge data products, partnering with stakeholders across the organization
• Build a cross-functional roadmap with other product and engineering teams to keep storage and edge data offerings consistent
• Gather customer insights through research and direct conversations, turning them into clear product requirements
• Define and track product success metrics using data-driven goals
• Evaluate vendor and infrastructure tradeoffs, balancing performance, cost and reliability
• Work with Sales and Product Marketing on product growth through training and coordinated campaigns
• Lead cross-functional and distributed teams and build trusted working relationships at all levels

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent experience
• 5-8 years of product management experience
• Product management experience, preferably with SaaS, PaaS or IaaS products
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems, cloud storage, data infrastructure, networking or security
• Ability to craft a compelling product roadmap and make smart tradeoffs
• Strong motivation and communication skills

Required skills

• Familiarity with object storage, S3-compatible APIs or key-value/data store technologies
• Nice to have: enterprise cloud service experience, real-time protocols or low-latency storage, data migration tooling, vendor negotiation, and product analytics

• Estimated on-target earnings of $211,370 to $253,644, with possible equity and discretionary bonus participation
