Senior Actuarial Analyst - Remote

About the role

HCSC is hiring a Senior Actuarial Analyst on a remote basis. The role covers the implementation, maintenance and detailed analysis of models, studies and systems that use actuarial principles for pricing, underwriting, reserving, forecasting and other actuarial functions, including running and developing complex models and presenting findings to decision makers.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in implementing, maintaining and analysing actuarial models, studies and systems used for pricing, underwriting, reserving, forecasting and other actuarial functions
• Run and develop complex models and analyse their results in detail
• Develop simple written and oral presentations that give basic information for decision making

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Economics; other degrees may be considered
• Completion of 3 ASA exam equivalents according to the Society of Actuaries' Education and Examination System
• At least 2 years of actuarial experience
• Verbal and written communication skills for documentation, training and presentations
• PC proficiency including Word and Excel

Preferred qualifications

• Programming skills such as Access, SQL, Visual Basic or others
• Experience with Alteryx
• Tableau or Power BI proficiency
• Tiered network analysis, UDS discounts and claims repricing familiarity
• Actuarial experience in health insurance or a related field

No visa sponsorship is available for this role. The base pay range is $61,500 to $136,100, varying with skills, experience and location, and the role is subject to an annual incentive bonus plan.
