Senior Accountant - CPA Preferred

About the role

Chazin, a woman‑owned virtual accounting firm serving nonprofit clients, is seeking a Senior Accountant to provide full‑cycle accounting support in a fully remote environment for U.S. based candidates (excluding California).

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle accounting for multiple nonprofit clients, including AR, AP, payroll, and general ledger.
• Prepare month‑end close workbooks, financial statements, and reconciliations.
• Support grant management, audit preparation, and Form 990 filings.
• Apply nonprofit revenue recognition guidance and prepare investment roll‑forwards.
• Assist with financial analysis, cash‑flow forecasting, and budgeting under controller guidance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with at least five years of general accounting experience.
• CPA license preferred; strong command of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles.
• Experience in public or outsourced accounting, audit preparation, and nonprofit environments is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
• Experience using QuickBooks Online and BILL.
• Willingness to become proficient with Sage Intacct and other third‑party applications.
