Senior Account Executive, Retail Media

About the role

The Senior Retail Media Account Executive owns revenue growth across a portfolio of high-value suppliers, service providers and national advertisers within the Orange Apron Media ecosystem. The role is accountable for achieving and exceeding a defined sales target by developing and executing integrated retail media strategies, and leads the full sales and partnership lifecycle while providing leadership to account teams through direct or matrixed relationships. It directly supports a Home Depot merchandising category.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver against an annual revenue target, lead complex consultative sales engagements and manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification and pitching through close, renewal and expansion
• Identify and execute upsell, cross-sell and long-term growth opportunities, and lead joint business planning and executive-level business reviews with senior client stakeholders
• Serve as senior point of contact for large and complex suppliers and advertisers, defining account strategy and owning the partnership lifecycle including contracting, activation, optimization, renewal and growth planning
• Lead, coach and mentor Account Executives and Account Managers, setting priorities, performance expectations and account strategies
• Translate advertiser objectives into integrated retail media solutions and partner cross-functionally so campaigns deliver measurable ROI
• Stay current on retail media, digital advertising and consumer trends to inform sales strategy and proposals

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States
• High school diploma or GED; a bachelor's degree is preferred
• 5-6+ years of experience in sales, retail media, partnerships or account management with quota ownership; 6 years preferred
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets on large, complex accounts
• Experience mentoring junior team members and leading cross-functional initiatives is preferred

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (preferred)
• Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation and presentation skills
• Knowledge of digital media, e-commerce and retail advertising solutions
• Data-driven approach to business planning and forecasting

Reports to the Senior Manager, Retail Media Sales, with 0-5 direct reports. Typically involves overnight travel 5-20% of the time, and the role is based indoors in a comfortable setting.
