Semiconductor Maintenance Technician - Cleans/EPI

About the role

NXP is hiring a Semiconductor Maintenance Technician for its Chandler manufacturing site, responsible for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of equipment in the Fab Cleans/EPI area. The technician maintains the toolsets listed below and works in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the Cleans toolsets: Semitool (SST-C-421-280, WSST 408A, SAT 2080S, STORM II, RCMS, Raider/Millennium), TEL/FSI (Mercury MP), ZetaDNS (WS820-LA), Akron (SCP 9400), GAMAD, Dainippon Screen (SS-80BW-AR), and Screen DNS (WS-802L, SS-80EX, SS-80BW-ARE).
• Maintain the EPI tools: ASM EPSILON E-2000 reduced pressure single wafer epitaxial reactors, helium and hydrogen leak checkers, exhaust abatement units (ATLAS, AirGard, EcoGuard), Bio-rad FTIR, ThermoFlex 5000 TCS chiller and vacuum bag sealer.
• Operate associated metrology equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, pneumatic and mechanical systems, carry out scheduled maintenance and consumable changes.
• Diagnose equipment alarms, read operational data and create action plans, using root-cause analysis to solve complex problems.
• Interface with internal and external groups to meet safety, performance and reliability requirements, and possibly document work and train others.

Required profile

• Solid understanding of SPC, 5S and FDC systems.
• Able to work with minimal direction and sustain equipment in a high-volume environment.
• Ability to follow safety protocols around hazardous chemicals.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical stamina: standing up to 12 hours, stooping, crawling in confined spaces and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Education: AA, AS or AAS in electronics or another mechanical discipline preferred; education plus experience or military training may satisfy the requirement.

The position involves a compressed shift schedule with night shifts available.
