Security Officer - Patrol Hazard Awareness

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a full-time Security Officer Patrol Hazard Awareness (unarmed patrol officer) in Riverside, California. The officer monitors and patrols assigned areas at a manufacturing and industrial client site, maintains a visible presence to deter incidents and supports a secure environment for employees and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors and employees by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial areas, including building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points and perimeters, to identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, employee and contractor entry procedures according to site requirements.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms and critical situations, notify the right people and document activities as required.
• Report security concerns, equipment issues and policy violations, keeping clear and accurate daily activity reports.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred; licensing requirements depend on state and local laws and may be needed before employment.
• Applicants must pass a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.

• Pay of $18.52 per hour.
• Shifts Monday through Sunday, with day shifts from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM and weekend shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
