Security Field Supervisor

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Field Supervisor in Salem, NH. The supervisor supports operations for remotely managed accounts by supervising Security Professionals on site and making sure sites are covered at all times, working closely with Operations Managers on day-to-day supervision of remote service delivery. Starting pay is $23.08 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Visit assigned post locations regularly to monitor performance, address daily issues, communicate policy changes, adjust staffing schedules and inspect posts for image, quality standards, and up-to-date manuals and records.
• Conduct on-the-job training for new employees and when post orders change, covering orientation, post orders, routine duties and emergency response.
• Respond to call-offs during shifts, identify replacements, stand post until they arrive and help the scheduler with scheduling changes.
• Identify personnel problems such as payroll or employee relations issues and forward them to the Operations Manager and/or HR Director, possibly writing a report or helping with an investigation.
• Carry out counseling or disciplinary actions initiated by the Branch Manager or HR Director, but not make or start those decisions independently.
• Distribute information to posts as directed, obtain signed acknowledgements and return documents to the office.
• Respond to client or site emergencies and ensure appropriate communication to Operations and the Branch Manager.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with at least one year of driving experience, no major violations in the last 36 months, no more than one at-fault accident or minor moving violation in the last 24 months, and no combination of one of each.
• At least three years of professional protective service (security) experience; licensing may be required depending on state and local law.
• Preferred: scheduling, operations management or leadership experience, and prior security, law enforcement or military experience.

Required skills

• Ability to write clear, concise reports in legible handwriting.
• Good independent judgment and discretion.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with clients.
• Initiative, prioritization of competing assignments and meeting deadlines.
• Nice to have: working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
