Security Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain systems that protect our organization from cyber threats. The role focuses on ensuring data confidentiality, integrity, and availability across on‑premises and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deploy firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption protocols for on‑premises and cloud infrastructures.
• Monitor network traffic and security alerts, respond to incidents, and mitigate risks.
• Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability scans, providing remediation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with regulations such as HIPAA and GDPR, support audits, and report compliance status.
• Collaborate with IT, development, and product teams to embed security into SDLC and CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop security automation for cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and DevSecOps practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in security engineering, incident response, or risk management.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications preferred (CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+).

Required skills

• Networking protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM tools.
• Cloud platforms: AWS and Azure.
• Scripting with Python and Bash.
• Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
