Seasonal Line Cook – May to Oct 2026

About the role

Join the Culinary Department at Discovery Land Company’s Hamptons locations for a seasonal line cook position running from May 1 to October 12, 2026. You will help deliver the high‑quality dining experience expected by members and guests at both the Dune Deck Beach Club in Westhampton Beach and The Hills in East Quogue.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare food items according to standard recipes, maintaining portion control and minimizing waste.
• Stock the kitchen with necessary ingredients and assist on all stations during each meal period.
• Maintain and clean equipment following opening and closing checklists.
• Report hazards, unsafe conditions, or equipment issues promptly.
• Adhere to Department of Health food and safety standards and company policies.
• Ensure food is plated and presented correctly while responding quickly to guest needs.

Required profile

• At least 12 months experience in a high‑volume restaurant, resort, or private club.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and shifts longer than eight hours.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift and carry items over 50 lb, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and strong communication skills.
• Clear English reading, writing, and speaking abilities.

Required skills

• ServSafe certification or knowledge of safe food handling practices.
