About the role

Join the Discovery Land Company culinary team at its Hamptons locations – Dune Deck Beach Club in Westhampton Beach and The Hills in East Quogue. This seasonal position runs from May 1 to October 12, 2026, offering the chance to create memorable dining experiences for members and guests in a high‑volume resort environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare food items according to standard recipes, maintaining portion control and minimizing waste.
• Stock the kitchen with necessary ingredients and assist on all line stations during each meal period.
• Maintain and clean equipment following opening and closing checklists.
• Report hazards, unsafe conditions, or equipment issues promptly.
• Adhere to Department of Health food and safety standards and company policies.
• Keep kitchen and storage areas organized and clean.
• Execute recipes accurately and ensure timely plating and presentation.

Required profile

• At least 12 months experience in high‑volume restaurants, resorts, or private clubs.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and shifts longer than eight hours.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 50 lb), bend, stoop, squat, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
• Pass a background check (employer‑paid).

Required skills

• ServSafe certification or knowledge of safe food handling practices.
