Seasonal Chef de Partie – Hamptons (NY)

About the role

Discovery Land Company is seeking a seasonal Chef de Partie to join the culinary teams at Dune Deck Beach Club in Westhampton Beach and The Hills in East Quogue, New York. The position runs from April 20 to October 7, 2026 and supports the delivery of high‑quality dining experiences for members and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and lead a kitchen section, assigning detailed duties to team members.
• Maintain meticulous cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchen and ensure personal hygiene of staff.
• Oversee food quality, taste, temperature, visual appeal, and portion control according to executive chef specifications.
• Enforce safe food handling standards and monitor equipment maintenance.
• Identify and report damaged utensils, breakage, and equipment issues to the Stewarding Supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, health, security, loss‑control policies and relevant legislation.

Required profile

• Culinary arts degree or certificate (preferred).
• 5+ years of culinary experience, including 2‑3 years in fine‑dining environments.
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and strong communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays and long hours as needed.
• Ability to stay calm and focused during peak service periods.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
