Scientist, RNA Biochemistry

About the role

Cloverleaf Bio is seeking an experienced RNA Biochemist to join its early‑stage therapeutics team. You will work closely with the founders to create and develop a novel family of engineered RNA therapeutics.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute low‑ and high‑throughput RNA screening assays.
• Generate RNA‑sequencing libraries and perform mechanistic studies in mammalian cells on lead candidate RNAs.
• Explore new disease areas beyond oncology and contribute to the overall research strategy.

Required profile

• PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics or a related field.
• Proven ability to independently drive research projects to completion in academic or industrial settings.
• Resilient, flexible and collaborative mindset suited to an early‑stage startup environment.

Required skills

• RNA/DNA extraction, PCR, RT‑PCR, qPCR, western blotting.
• Mammalian cell culture, including passaging and seeding.
• Generation of RNA‑sequencing libraries (e.g., mRNA‑seq, CLIP‑seq) and basic NGS data analysis.
• Experience with RNA biology, tRNA, RNA modifications, and design of RNA therapeutics.
