About the role

The School Nurse provides nursing care within the Collegiate Baton Rouge High School system, ensuring the health, comfort and safety of students. This role follows the Nursing Process and complies with the Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards.

Key responsibilities

Administer nursing care and respond to student health needs on campus.
Assess learning needs and implement health education strategies for students, families and staff.
Utilize data and knowledge to evaluate outcomes and promote health improvements.

Required profile

Current RN license in the state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Registered Nurse diploma; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

Required skills

Proficiency with Windows‑style applications and data‑entry software.
Effective verbal and written communication for presenting information to diverse audiences.
