Salesforce DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and manage CI/CD pipelines for multiple Salesforce orgs. You will work on‑site at the University of Maryland Global Campus, collaborating with development, QA, and business teams to ensure reliable, secure releases.

Key responsibilities

• Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Copado, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.
• Design, configure, and maintain deployment pipelines for metadata and code promotion across environments.
• Manage version control with GitHub/Bitbucket, enforce branching strategies, and oversee merge processes.
• Maintain synchronization of development, sandbox, and production environments, including data seeding and sandbox refreshes.
• Implement pipeline security, conduct monthly release audits, and enforce segregation of duties.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute end‑to‑end Salesforce releases, communicating with stakeholders.
• Handle deployment of Apex code, Lightning components, and configuration changes, troubleshooting failures.
• Back‑promote changes to lower‑level orgs to keep environments aligned.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Salesforce DevOps Engineer or developer.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, sandboxes, and metadata management.
• Hands‑on experience with release automation tools such as Copado, Gearset, AutoRABIT, and SFDX.
• Proven ability to work in Agile, fast‑paced environments and manage multiple priorities.
