About the role

The Sales Manager leads a high‑performing selling culture in a retail store, driving strong sales results and an engaging customer experience. This role oversees front‑end and service operations, ensuring consistent execution of selling behaviors, brand standards, and operational expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in enforcing Standard Operating Procedures and company policies.
• Model and coach best‑in‑class customer experience and selling techniques to boost conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager‑on‑Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Oversee POS and self‑checkout systems to ensure accurate, efficient transactions.
• Manage in‑store programs such as balloons, birthday parties, loyalty rewards enrollment, and specialty areas like Knit & Sew and Custom Framing.
• Drive execution of BOPIS and Same Day Delivery for omni‑channel fulfillment.
• Train, coach, and develop team members through structured onboarding and ongoing skill‑building.
• Partner with Asset Protection to reduce shrink and maintain a safe environment.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift/carry up to 25‑50 lb, climb ladders, and perform repetitive motions.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and early mornings in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong customer‑focused attitude with the ability to coach and develop staff.
