Sales Associate - Specialty Food Distribution

About the role

The Chefs' Warehouse, a specialty food distributor serving chefs, restaurant owners and foodservice operators, is hiring Sales Associates. You will be the face of the company in your territory, building trusted relationships with chefs and operators and helping them find products and solutions that improve their menus and operations. The role is a salary plus commission position.

Key responsibilities

• Build relationships with chefs, restaurant owners and foodservice operators and act as the face of the company in your territory
• Help customers discover products and solutions that elevate their menus and improve their operations
• Develop and expand a portfolio of accounts and win new business
• Manage your territory with support from a team of sales, culinary, protein and produce experts

Required profile

• Experience in restaurant sales, food sales, catering, hospitality, culinary or other customer-facing roles is preferred; experience as a chef or working closely with foodservice professionals is a plus
• Relationship-focused, positive and self-motivated, with strong communication and organization skills
• Results-driven, able to use data to inform decisions
• Resides within a commutable distance of the assigned territory and has reliable transportation
• A college degree is preferred but not required

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite preferred

• Fixed annual base salary of $50,000 plus an uncapped monthly commission based on a percentage of gross profit generated
