Safety Manager

About the role

The Safety Manager will support safe operations across heavy civil infrastructure projects in Sterling, VA. This role works closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, and field teams to ensure the highest safety standards and a proactive safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular field visits to assess safety compliance, identify hazards, and verify adherence to company and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare detailed safety reports, maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and training activities.
• Deliver safety training classes such as Fall Protection, Confined Space, and other OSHA‑related topics.
• Monitor OSHA and company safety standards, providing guidance on regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Assist in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans.
• Collaborate with field leadership to implement safety initiatives and support continuous improvement.

Required profile

• High School Diploma.
• 15+ years of experience in construction safety, preferably heavy civil infrastructure.
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Required skills

• OSHA 30 certification.
• OSHA 500 certification.
• OSHA 510 certification.
