About the role

The RN Supervisor provides direct patient care while leading a team of nurses and technicians on the LTACH unit at Ochsner Extended Care Hospital. This full‑time, day‑shift position offers a $30,000 sign‑on bonus and focuses on high‑quality, evidence‑based nursing practice.

Key responsibilities

Supervise, develop, and evaluate nursing staff and patient care technicians.
Coordinate and delegate nursing interventions, ensuring compliance with protocols and quality standards.
Manage unit staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to support optimal patient care.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a BSN (required for Magnet facilities).
At least 1 year of RN experience or 2 years as an LPN in acute care; supervisory experience preferred.
Current state RN license and Basic Life Support certification.

Required skills

Proficiency with computer systems, software, and web‑based applications.
Strong problem‑solving and clinical decision‑making abilities.
