RN Rapid Response Critical Care – Full Time Nights

About the role

Join Ochsner Health as a Registered Nurse on the Rapid Response Critical Care team at Jefferson Highway, working full‑time night shifts. You will lead patient care using the nursing process, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and ensure high‑quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and staff.
• Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members.
• Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team and manage nursing resources.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2 years ICU/ED experience at an Academic Medical Center or 5 years equivalent experience.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and professional accountability.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
