About the role

PsyPhyCare is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to serve as a Health Occupations Instructor in a youth residential program in Oneonta, NY. The instructor will deliver industry‑recognized nursing instruction and hands‑on training to young adults aged 16‑24, preparing them for careers in healthcare.

Key responsibilities

Develop and deliver lesson plans, instructional materials, and hands‑on activities aligned with industry standards.
Assess student performance, grade assessments, and maintain accurate instructional records.
Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and special needs.
Provide individualized coaching, tutoring, and counseling to support student success.
Supervise practical training, on‑the‑job learning experiences, and career preparation exercises.

Required profile

Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree.
Minimum two years of related experience in geriatrics.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Required skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
