About the role

The Registered Nurse will provide patient care on the MTSU ICU Stepdown unit during weekends, following Ochsner Health's standards of practice and commitment to excellence.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, high‑quality patient care.
Assess learning needs of patients and families and implement appropriate teaching strategies.
Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members while leading interdisciplinary collaboration.
Use data and evidence‑based practice to drive improvements and achieve optimal outcomes.

Required profile

Current RN license in the state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Registered nurse diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
Ability to work weekends and adapt to diverse patient populations.

Required skills

Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
Effective verbal and written communication.
Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
