RN - Medical ICU - Kings Hwy

About the role

The RN will provide patient care in the Medical ICU on Kings Highway, utilizing the Nursing Process and adhering to the Nurse Practice Act, ANA standards, and hospital policies. The role involves delegating, directing, and assisting team members while ensuring quality outcomes and cultural sensitivity.

Key responsibilities

• Effectively uses the Nursing Process in the delivery of patient care.
• Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies for patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources, serving as a leader on the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Utilizes data and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes.
• Embraces concepts that enhance customer satisfaction, employee morale, and professional nursing improvement.

Required profile

• Required: Registered Nurse diploma; Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Required: Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Required: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Experience: No prior experience required.

Required skills

• Computer data entry and retrieval of patient information.
• Proficiency with Windows-style applications and related software packages.
