About the role

Join Ochsner Health as a Registered Nurse on the ICU Stepdown unit, working day shifts. You will lead patient care using the nursing process while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve high‑quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, effective patient care.
Assess learning needs of patients and families and provide appropriate education.
Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources, serving as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
Use data and evidence‑based practice to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Current RN license in the state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; clinical specialty certification preferred.

Required skills

Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
Current RN licensure and BLS certification.
