RN – Emergency Medicine – Jefferson Highway – 11a‑11p

About the role

The Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care in the Emergency Medicine unit on Jefferson Highway, working 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Shifts. This position emphasizes compassionate, inclusive care and leadership within the nursing team.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver high‑quality patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
• Assess learning needs of patients and families and implement appropriate teaching strategies.
• Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members while serving as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, accreditation standards, and hospital policies.
• Adapt communication style to respect cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity of patients.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within 90 days of hire.
