RN Critical Care – PACU – Grove Surgery Center (PRN)

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care and Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Grove Surgery Center in Baton Rouge. This position provides direct patient care, leads interdisciplinary teams, and supports the organization’s mission of exceptional, compassionate care.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver high‑quality patient care and assess learning needs of patients and families.
• Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members while maintaining accountability for patient outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, manage resources, and contribute to unit and departmental strategic goals.
• Adapt care approaches to respect cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; clinical specialty certification preferred.

• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
