RN Cardiology - Stress Test Supervision

About the role

Jupiter Medical Center, ranked #1 for safety, quality and patient satisfaction in Palm Beach County, is hiring an RN for its cardiology stress test supervision position. The nurse works autonomously within professional nursing standards and the ANA Code of Ethics, coordinates the interdisciplinary team and takes a leadership role in improving patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Triage patients and manage prescription renewals
• Assist patients with education on medication adherence
• Manage transition of care calls
• Provide vaccinations, flu shots and other injections
• Follow up on all test results
• Coordinate the interdisciplinary team and take part in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
• Act as educator to peers, patients and families, and identify needed resources or equipment for the budget
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; BSN preferred
• Current RN licensure in the state of Florida
• American Heart Association BLS certification for healthcare providers
• At least 1 year of experience; 2 years preferred
• Ability to lift and move patients and equipment, including pushing or pulling up to 40 lbs and carrying up to 50 lbs
• Physical demands include long periods of standing, sitting and walking

Threshold requirements include annual Joint Commission mandatory education, in-service and health requirements, TB/PPD surveillance program, and maintenance of required licenses and certifications.
