Research Project Coordinator for Essex‑Hudson 4‑H Programs

About the role

The School of Environmental and Biological Sciences at Rutgers University seeks a Research Project Coordinator to support research and evaluation efforts for 4‑H, FCHS, and other Extension programs in the Essex‑Hudson region. Reporting to the Essex County 4‑H Agent, you will help ensure healthy outcomes for youth and communities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate project activities, facilitate communication among partners, and provide technical expertise within the relevant scientific or engineering discipline.
• Manage timelines, stakeholder engagement, data oversight, and support research, education, and outreach initiatives.
• Assist in developing analytical methods, project solutions, and technical designs appropriate to the project’s focus.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in education, human/youth development, sociology, science, or related field.
• At least two years of relevant experience, including work with youth and community‑based food programs.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to complete safety and background checks.
