About the role

Ochsner Health seeks a Research Fellow to support physicians and scientists in investigating scientific and medical questions. The role involves data collection, analysis, and dissemination of research findings within a compassionate, inclusive team environment.

Key responsibilities

Execute research projects, collect, record, and evaluate data, and maintain impeccable research records.
Prepare abstracts, presentations, and manuscripts for publication and present plans and results to team members.
Stay current with scientific and medical literature related to assigned projects.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and report any suspected research irregularities.

Required profile

Doctoral degree (MD, DO, or PhD) in a health‑related field.
Basic knowledge of biomedical research processes and strong analytical, organizational, and project‑management skills.
Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications; effective verbal and written communication.
