Remote Entry-Level Data Entry Clerk

About the role

We are hiring a Remote Data Entry Clerk to support our growing operations team from home. This fully remote, entry‑level position is open to candidates residing in Chicago, Illinois and involves entering and maintaining customer records, account information, and operational data across internal systems.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately enter customer, account, and operational data into company databases and internal management systems.
• Review submitted information for completeness, correct formatting, and accuracy, flagging any discrepancies for supervisor review.
• Maintain well‑organized digital records across multiple client accounts and internal databases.
• Meet daily data entry accuracy and productivity targets set by team management.
• Communicate task updates, questions, and completion status to team leads via email and messaging platforms.
• Handle all data, account records, and customer information with strict confidentiality.
• Assist with document formatting, file management, and general administrative support as needed.
• Participate in brief team check‑ins and training sessions to stay current on processes and system updates.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Typing speed of at least 40 WPM with high accuracy.
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet, distraction‑free home workspace.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy on high‑volume data tasks.
• Self‑motivated, able to manage time effectively and work independently.
• Pass a pre‑employment background check.
• No prior experience required; full paid training provided from day one.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
