Remote Customer Service Representative

About the role

Group O is hiring a Call Center Customer Service Representative to handle customer questions and concerns as the first point of contact for people contacting the organization on behalf of its clients. The role is remote and full time, and the ideal candidate has strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls about inquiries, orders, product information, billing, account maintenance and technical support, giving prompt, courteous and accurate responses.
• Listen actively, identify the root cause of issues and use available resources and knowledge bases to resolve them.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of products, services, features, pricing and promotions, updating knowledge through training and internal communication.
• Help customers place orders, process returns or exchanges, track shipments and manage account information, following established procedures.
• Record interactions and resolutions accurately, generate reports on performance metrics and trends, and escalate complex cases to sales, marketing or technical support.
• Identify ways to improve processes and service delivery and give feedback on workflows and training.

Required profile

• High school diploma; basic customer service and phone handling experience.
• Strong verbal communication and active listening skills, able to stay calm under pressure.
• Problem-solving ability and commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
• Ability to work a set schedule with flexibility for extra or modified hours.
• Remote work requires at least 100 megabytes of internet speed.

Required skills

• Familiarity with basic computer applications.
• Proficiency in typing and data entry.
