Call Center Benefits Representative

About the role

Group O is hiring a Call Center Benefits Representative to serve as the main point of contact for State of Texas employees and retirees who need help with their workplace benefits. The role covers health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off and other benefits, and requires answering calls, resolving issues and keeping accurate records. The position is full time and remote.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls about benefits questions and guide employees through eligibility, coverage, enrollment and plan details
• Help employees navigate the enrollment process, including online portals, and resolve billing errors, claim denials and other issues
• Maintain accurate records of interactions while complying with privacy and confidentiality rules
• Run training sessions and create materials on new benefits, policy changes and plan updates
• Identify process improvements and give feedback to management

Required profile

• High school diploma
• 3 years of customer service or call center experience, preferably in benefits administration or human resources
• Preferred: experience with medical insurance and HIPAA guidelines
• Ability to type at least 40 words per minute

Required skills

• Knowledge of employee benefits terminology, regulations and industry trends
• Strong verbal communication and computer proficiency for data entry and research
• Windows-based computer experience preferred
