Registered Respiratory Therapist – Sign‑on Bonus up to $30,000

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join its Cedar Crest campus. The position offers a competitive sign‑on bonus and the opportunity to work within a nationally recognized health system.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, manage, and treat patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies, including mechanical ventilator and Bi‑PAP management.
• Set up, check, and administer respiratory medication for aerosol treatments and document patient response.
• Perform emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation, maintain airways, and monitor ventilator parameters for critical care patients.
• Conduct arterial blood gas studies, pulse oximetry, and interpret results.
• Educate patients on sleep apnea therapy, CPAP/Bi‑PAP use, and conduct nocturnal sleep screenings.
• Maintain inventory of respiratory equipment and ensure adequate stock.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree from an accredited RRT program and eligibility for NBRC certification in Pennsylvania within one year.
• Current or pending certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, and RCP as required by state regulations.
• Ability to lift and carry 40‑50 lb, stand/walk for extended periods, and perform patient transfers.
