Registered Nurse – Women’s Specialty Float Pool

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Women’s Specialty Float Pool, providing professional nursing care across multiple units. The role involves comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in alignment with facility policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Utilize evidence‑based practice to ensure quality and safety, and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
• Provide patient and family education throughout the treatment course to support effective transitions of care.
• Perform validated technical skills specific to the clinical specialty and incorporate technology to optimize care delivery.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current nursing competence.
• Ability to organize and prioritize assignments while delivering patient care.
• Successful completion of orientation programs related to the specialty and maintenance of unit‑specific competencies.
• Basic computer skills and American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification upon hire.
