Registered Nurse – Surgery (Mid‑Shift)

About the role

Citizens Health is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to join the surgery department at Citizens Medical Center. The RN will work mid‑shift, providing pre‑, intra‑, and post‑operative care for surgical patients.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain supplies, set up and maintain sterile fields, and assist with surgical procedures by passing instruments and equipment.
• Perform surgery call duties on a rotating basis, including weekend and holiday coverage.
• Assist in cleaning and stocking instruments, and ensure accurate documentation of peri‑operative care.

Required profile

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program with current Kansas RN licensure.
• Completed Citizens Medical Center nursing orientation and general hospital orientation.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, patients, families, and multidisciplinary staff.
