Registered Nurse – RNFA – Robotic Experience Preferred

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Registered Nurse with RNFA training to assist surgeons in the operating room, preferably with robotic surgery experience. The RNFA will work under direct surgeon supervision, providing high‑quality patient care and ensuring optimal surgical outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon during procedures, acting as a circulator or scrub nurse.
• Coordinate and direct licensed and ancillary team members to deliver the plan of care.
• Communicate patient needs and special requirements to the surgical team.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of operating‑room experience.
• Current RN license in the state of practice and BLS certification.
• Successful completion of an RNFA program; CNOR certification preferred.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
