Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU – Kings Hwy

About the role

This position leads patient care in the Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) using the nursing process, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code, and Scope & Standards of Practice. The RN delegates, directs, and assists licensed and ancillary team members while promoting quality outcomes and cultural sensitivity.

Key responsibilities

• Effectively uses the nursing process to deliver patient care.
• Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies for patients, families, and interdisciplinary groups.
• Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources, serving as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
• Uses data and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes.
• Adapts behavior to respect patient privacy, cultural preferences, and communication styles.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• At least 1 year RN experience or a minimum of 5 years LPN experience; ICU and ED experience appreciated.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification (current or to be obtained).
• PALS certification (current or to be obtained).
• Preferred certification in a clinical specialty area.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the EPIC electronic health record system.
• General computer proficiency with software and web‑based applications.
