Registered Nurse – Patient Care Specialist

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care across a range of patient populations. The role involves comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in alignment with facility policies and evidence‑based practice.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff using verbal and non‑verbal techniques.
• Provide patient and family education throughout the treatment course to ensure smooth transitions of care.
• Participate in performance improvement processes and evidence‑based research projects.
• Perform validated technical skills specific to the clinical specialty and unit.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and deliver safe patient care.
• Completion of orientation programs related to the specialty and maintenance of unit‑specific competencies.
• Basic computer proficiency and Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association) upon hire.
