About the role
The outpatient/ambulatory care nurse provides professional nursing care to patients in an outpatient facility, clinic, or virtual setting, and coordinates care across the continuum. This role supports a safe work environment and maintains clinical competency for the patient population served.
Key responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to ensure optimal satisfaction.
- Deliver skilled nursing care, including medication administration and procedures.
- Provide patient and family education and evaluate its effectiveness.
- Identify and intervene to prevent or correct patient risks.
- Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Required profile
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- RN license in Pennsylvania (upon hire).
- Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association, Pennsylvania) upon hire.
- Ability to adapt to change, strong time management, and excellent computer skills.
Required skills
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
- Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
