About the role

This 12-week PRN position supports the Neurosurgery Unit at Kings Highway Hospital in Shreveport. The Registered Nurse will lead patient care using the nursing process, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards, and will work night shifts.

Key responsibilities

Deliver patient care by applying the nursing process and assessing learning needs of patients and families.
Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members while maintaining accountability for quality outcomes.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, using data to drive improvements and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, accreditation standards, and hospital policies.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum 1 year of RN experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
Current RN license in the state of practice and active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
