Registered Nurse – Med/Surg – Night Shift – Full Time

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks a Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg unit on the night shift, working 72 hours bi‑weekly. The RN will provide professional nursing care, assess patients, develop care plans, and ensure safe, high‑quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to resolve patient needs.
• Apply evidence‑based practice and participate in quality improvement projects.
• Educate patients and families throughout the treatment course.
• Perform validated technical skills and utilize technology to enhance care delivery.
• Teach, mentor, and precept new colleagues and interns as assigned.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license for the State of Pennsylvania (upon hire).
• Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in patient care.
• Successful completion of unit‑specific orientation and competency assessments.

Required skills

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification (required upon hire).
• Basic computer skills.
