About the role

This position leads patient care on the Med Surg unit during night hours, applying the nursing process within the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code, and Scope & Standards of Practice. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, delegates tasks, and ensures quality outcomes while respecting cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and interdisciplinary partners.
Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members, managing resources effectively.
Analyze data to drive improvements and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current RN license in the state of practice.
No prior work experience required; entry‑level candidates are welcome.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
